Here is a quick pre-view of her third book
Nothing else happened, except for that one kiss. And boy could he kiss.
I didn’t dare tell anyone except for Emily, otherwise I would never hear the end of it, and it would probably piss Pauly off to where he’d ignore me for the rest of the trip.
“So who do you think is the better kisser?” Emily asked me, as we sat in her bedroom flipping through music magazines. “Liam or Pauly?”
“Why do you have to ask me that Em?” I groaned. “I don’t know, I mean, that kiss with Liam was so…”
“Safe?” She interjected.
I hate to admit it, but that was the truth. “Yeah. But Pauly, he’s the kind of guy where he comes off aggressive, and kisses with that same amount of passion.”
“And fucks like that.”
“Emily!” I shushed her so the guys wouldn’t overhear our conversation.
“Sorry Luce, I had to say it.” She grinned. “I don’t know. When Liam stopped by while you guys were practicing, he seemed almost too…I can’t even explain it…he just seems like he would be a good friend, not boyfriend material.”
“But what about Pauly?” I asked her. “Sleeping with groupies all the time does not make him boyfriend material...”
“Just you wait.” Emily assured me. “It just takes one girl. One girl to steal his breath away. One girl to change how he thinks about himself, and the world around him. That one girl will cause him to stop his sleeping around ways and settle down.” She took a deep breath and continued. “I think that girl is you Lucy. I know you’re still trying to get to know Liam, and that’s cool, he’s a nice guy. But you’ve known Pauly forever. He needs someone like you who is in the same business as him, well same band too, and knows everything about him. His flaws, what he like on his pizza, what he wears to sleep. Do you know any of that about Liam?”
I slumped back against the pillows and realized Emily was right. Again. I didn’t know that stuff about Liam. I knew only what he told me the first night he came to the cabin, and we had casual conversations about how each others days went when I saw him at the restaurant. I didn’t know what he liked on his pizza, his flaws, let alone what he slept in. Like that really mattered, but being that I’ve known him for over a few weeks now, I should have felt a small spark, or a hint of hope that he wanted to take things further besides one kiss.
“I hate being caught in the middle.” I shouted into the pillow next to me.
